Working out to relieve stress

Trust me when I say that everyone is not themselves during Covid. As someone who reads people's facial expression, it's obvious that they are tired, especially in Malaysia.

What I do whenever I am stressed

Some uses cigarettes to release stress, while some binge eat (guilty of this). But often times, it leaves us feeling disappointed in ourselves. For me personally, doing these things are okay -- To an extend.

Australian pull-ups

Tip:

Whenever something is bothering you, try to go for a walk. Walking is what I use to burn some extra calories if I don't feel like doing any other type of cardio.

I try to use exercise as a way to get rid of stress. Ever since I was in high school, if something is upsetting me, I would go for a run, do some pushups, or even play football. I know that not everyone has the facility to workout (especially during Covid), so I recommend getting a pull-up bar for your door and a set of dumbbells. You might also be wondering of the cost, lucky for you, I have a few recommendation. I bought a 30Kg dumbells, a adjustable bench, and also a pull-up bar for under RM220. Where I got them? Shopee of course! It's crazy the variety of things Shopee has. Anyway, Here are my recommendation on what to workout.

Here’s how to do it:

  1. Try doing 12 repetition of push ups (4 Sets)

  2. Doing a pull-up for 5 reps (4 sets). If you can't do a pull-up, do an Australian pull-up (It's way easier)

  3. Do some pike push-ups 12 reps (4 sets)

  4. Squats 20 reps (3 sets)

At first you might be so sore after doing this workout, but trust me, you'll change your mind when you feel yourself being more energetic and less stressed. Doing these for 3 times a week would be my recommendation. Don't forget to check Youtube on the proper form! because form is better than the number of reps you can do.

Anyway, please take some time to take care of yourselves, because at the end of the day the most important person is you!
